Upgrade decision
Early money should cut friction: a bigger backpack or helpers reduce how often you walk to the crusher. Harder punches and bigger holes clear walls faster once selling is not the bottleneck.

Easy / Normal / Hard
Difficulty pick
Start on Easy or Normal until you know the tunnel route. Hard is the tier behind the Hard Time badge (“Escape on Hard difficulty”). Push Hard after one clean Easy or Normal breakout — details on Escape.
Escape currency
Gems and the locker
Every escape pays Gems. Spend them in the locker on gloves, hit effects, classes and emotes. The x2 Gems pass doubles gems after every escape; VIP Cell adds +20% gems plus the VIP tag and glove the product record names.
